Alright, after drinking in all that grandeur of the fort, that is time to just go down into the Blue City itself, and very few experiences prepare you for those first steps into that maze of narrow, winding lanes. That intense blue hue that is on those buildings, in all its possible shades, it actually feels very surreal. I mean, think of ultramarine to that pale sky blue, is that pretty, yet imagine a whole city covered by this palette.

Actually, one of the better things of this tour? It really got past just all that main tourist stuff, actually showcasing those hidden gems which you may not discover alone. Very little of Jodhpur’s splendor is broadcast on the frontpages. So there’s that stepwell (Toorji Ka Jhalra), an ancient water reservoir and now renovated.
